The Italians have significantly contributed to it all — art, music and especially fashion. Come celebrate their stylish legacy with the upcoming exhibit, “The Glamour of Italian Fashion, 1945 – 2014,” at the V&A Museum in London.

Western culture has been influenced and shaped by the Italians. After all, they brought us the Italian Renaissance via some of the most famous artists to ever exist, like Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Donatello and Raphael (*ahem TMNT, anyone?). Better yet, they introduced us cretins to organized music through the Florentine Camerata, a group of affluent stodgy old 15-Century men who met on a daily basis to discuss the future of art. But most importantly, beginning in 1945 and carrying onward to today in 2014, the Italians have created, and continue to create, a plethora of innovation and beauty that is otherwise known as Georgio Armani, Pucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Fendi, Prada, Versace, Gucci, Missoni, Simonetta and Sorelle Fontana. And in order to commemorate this magnificence known as Italian fashion, the V&A Museum in London is hosting “The Glamour of Italian Fashion, 1945 – 2014” Exhibit between April 4 – July 27, 2014 in order to showcase the foundation and development of Italian fashion as we know it to be today. Because we’re so psyched for this exhibit, we decided to feature some cool pics of the glamour that is Italian fashion alongside some radass quotes said by its most notable designers. We hope you apreesh. — MEGHAN FARNSWORTH
