Yes! Today, March 5th 2014, is the day that New Yorkers will have a first-time grab at viewing the past 18 years worth of work by graffiti artist VIZIE.

Vizie greater than the sum art from showcase in brooklyn

Quick note: you should check this event out. The show, “Greater Than the Sum,” will be first in a series of events as featured by &Associates, a new collaborative art gallery seeking to highlight some of New York’s most talented artists. The show runs for a total of five two-week periods at 9 Clinton Street on the LES.

“Originally from Houston, Texas, VIZIE began pursing art at an early age, quickly becoming focused on graffiti. Along with his brother NEKST, VIZIE helped the Houston graffiti scene come to prominence during the 90’s.

The show is the first in a series of five running at 9 Clinton St. in the Lower East Side from Jamie Falkowski and Othelo Gervacio who met and continue to work at Alldayeveryday. Falkowski’s recent work includes concepting The Newsstand project in Williamsburg and Gervacio is fine artist himself that will be showing as part of the programing in September. The show series is inspired by the pair’s interest in building community around artists and creators. Each show is accompanied by a limited edition print and catalog which will be available at the opening.” — &Associates
