We fell in love with Parisian born designer Eloise Lapidus”s new fall/winter collection for her line, BoBo House. Inspired by both her birthplace of Paris and her current home in L.A., BoBo House”s new collection combines sophisticated, chic fashion with comfort and wearability. SHK got to preview the collection at BoBo house”s FW14 press day.

Each BoBo House piece looked as if it had an enormous amount of thought and care invested in its quality, and the feel of the fabrics only further proved that. The collection had the pallet of Paris at sunrise but the swagger of L.A. after dark. Flowy and sometimes androgynous looking, BoBo House”s FW2014 collection combines comfort with style in a way that will keep you cozy and comfy but also look effortlessly ready for your first date. The line”s representative was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the brand, which is easy to understand with such an intriguing founder and designer like Eloise Lapidus. The line”s showcase was in online casino a gorgeous open loft in Tribeca, and all the featured designers created a unified rustic modern look. BoBo House certainly was the centerpiece of this aesthetic, and I am very excited for their FW2014 collection to be released. — Amanda Picotte, SHK

What I loved about the Bobo House line was its versatility. I could see so many different types of girls wearing the clothes in different settings. You can clearly see where the line was influenced by both L.A. and Paris. All the clothes were super soft… so soft I couldn”t stop help from touching every piece showcased. There were so many unique accents on the pieces, like adorable french sayings written in script, the soft elbow pads on some of the sweaters, and the super super soft sheerling fur on the outerwear. I found that some of the pieces were boxier which means the line isn”t only meant for size 0 women and that they understand that sometimes you just want to wear something that is loose and comfy.  Everything about the collection for autumn winter 2014 was cohesive: the super soft materials, the neutral color palette, and the reoccurring theme of written words or phrases in French. — Mali Zaken, SHK
