While looking at Dannijo jewels, a procession of words of praise (starting with the letter D or not) rolls right off the tongue. It seems that early on in their lives, sisters Danielle and Jodie Snyder were already preparing to launch their very own luxury fashion jewelry brand. At a young age before they even collaborated, Jodie handmade beaded designs that she sold to boutiques in their hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, and Danielle taught herself wirework using their father’s medical tools. The two opened their first boutique in Florida by the time they entered high school. After moving to New York post college graduation, the by-then seasoned partners in crime and craft launched Dannijo in 2008 out of their St. Marks apartment, almost immediately attracting buyers’ approval (Bergdorf Goodman picked up the line in March) and celebrity attention (Beyonce bought a piece that she wore on a world tour.) An all-around masterpiece collection, Dannijo is a dash rock and roll, a dollop bohemian, and a drop of classic.
