OCC just took their famous Lip Tars to a whole new level with the OCC Stained Gloss. 100% vegan and cruelty free, these glosses are long wearing, deliver serious color payoff, and have a high shine finish. We tried out these ultra pigmented glosses and here’s what we think! (Don’t let the name “Lip Tar” scare you off…they’re named that for their longevity and crazy opaqueness.)

OCC Lip Tar Stained Gloss

“I totally dig the stained gloss because it’s organic with hemp oil (talk about hippie love) and vitamin D. And especially because it’s vegan and cruelty free. I’m not usually a gloss lover (they always seem really ’90s, in a bad way) but this popsicle pink/red lip stain would be perfect for a pop of color at the beach this summer, for hydration and a little fun.”

 Emily Marucci, SHK Magazine Editor-in-Chief

“Made my lips feel like a stick of butter…in a good way. Also, 100% love that it’s 100% vegan and cruelty-free. “

“It goes on really smooth and easy and doesn’t smudge which is great and rare. The color is super vibrant – not so much a fan of the glitter, but having a gloss with that much color is always great. Being vegan and cruelty free is what hooked me though. I’ll only buy makeup that makes that commitment, and I’m glad to see Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics is a part of that.”

“What I love about the stained gloss is that it comes with a tiny brush that actually worked well to apply the gloss. Also, the brush and gloss are packaged in a tiny plastic pouch so you can put it in your purse or makeup bag and it won’t be messy. The color “Dune” is super natural if you want a little bit of color and shine. They’re super moisturizing and don’t feel sticky at all!”
